Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to rhythm changes promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments accurately
• Assess patients and document clinical changes clearly and timely
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning
• Lead and participate in unit-based initiatives to improve quality and safety
• Respond effectively to emergencies and assist in rapid response or code situations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain RN licensure in Hawaii
• Medical-surgical and telemetry experience required; confidence on a med-surg telemetry floor
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends as needed
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization and communication skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and pre-employment screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration and patient assessments
• Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety best practices
• Ability to prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with strong patient advocacy and communication skills
