Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, patient-centered care
• Administer medications and treatments in line with approved nursing techniques and state regulations
• Develop, implement, and execute individualized care plans based on each patient's unique needs
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly
• Monitor patient status and escalate changes in condition to the appropriate team members quickly
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical or acute care experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
• Ability to pass background check and compliance requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert understanding of the nursing process and patient care planning
• Proficiency in medication administration and documentation standards
• Experience with electronic medical records, including Point Click
• Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and positive patient experience
