Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process
• Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vitals, and progress of labor with sharp attention to detail
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and the care team to ensure safe, positive outcomes
• Educate and empower families during one of life's most meaningful moments
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC
• Act quickly and calmly in emergency situations to protect both mom and baby

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Utah (or compact state eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
• BSN not required; ADN welcome to apply

• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and response skills
• Expert knowledge of maternal-child nursing protocols
• Comfortable with EPIC charting system
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused during high-stress situations
