Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekends and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to labor and delivery patients
Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery
Administer medications and assist with epidurals and C-sections
Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn care
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe outcomes
Maintain accurate electronic health records using EPIC
Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Active Rhode Island RN license in good standing
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
EPIC experience required
EFM certification preferred

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of maternal-child nursing principles
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
