Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to ICU patients with complex conditions
Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, insulin, and sedatives to maintain patient stability
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to cardiac changes
Collaborate with intensivists and the care team to deliver evidence-based interventions
Float to PCU and medical floors as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Educate patients and families on diagnoses such as COPD, sepsis, and stroke recovery

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

ICU nursing with focus on drip titration and telemetry interpretation
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for complex patient populations
Comfort managing vents, BiPAPs, and high-flow oxygen equipment
Flexibility to float between ICU, PCU, and medical units
