Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications with precision and safety
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while collaborating with tele tech oversight
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed, maintaining excellent patient ratios
Respond to on-call situations within 30 minutes when required
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to deliver seamless patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

ICU nursing with telemetry monitoring and drip titration
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfort with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen management
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to float to PCU and MedSurg units as needed
