Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts (start/end times vary), RN - ICU; schedule varies by unit and staffing

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU patients
Monitor and assess patient status continuously and respond to changes
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
Perform advanced nursing interventions and use ICU-specific monitoring equipment
Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication
Document patient care and clinical findings thoroughly and timely

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Hawaii RN license or multistate compact where applicable)
ICU/critical care experience (preferred: prior bedside ICU shifts)
Current BLS required; ACLS highly recommended
Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Comfort with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Familiarity with critical care medications and IV infusions
Proficient in electronic medical record documentation
Excellent communication and patient/family education skills
Ability to triage and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
