Location: Lufkin, Texas

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self scheduling, Days or Nights, 12-hour shifts including 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to 80-90 patients daily
Manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio while treating trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac cases
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to deliver seamless patient experiences
Float to qualified units when needed and support your team across the department
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond swiftly to critical changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
Current ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENTC certifications
Comfortable working in a fast-paced ER with mixed patient holds

Knowledge & Skills

Strong ECG rhythm interpretation without monitor tech support
Ability to perform triage when needed
Experience with Paragon EMR
Skilled in caring for trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac patients
