Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a high-volume Level 2 trauma center
• Triage and manage patients with varying acuity, including medical emergencies and behavioral health holds
• Continuously monitor telemetry readings and respond to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with a welcoming, team-oriented ED staff and support others with real-time coaching and feedback
• Champion an excellent patient experience through AIDET, updated whiteboards, and keeping patients informed throughout their visit
• Float fluidly across all ED sections to meet patient care needs

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits/year)
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications prior to start
• ENPC certification must be completed within 90 days of hire
• Teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide feedback in real time
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED and ability to read telemetry monitors (pass tele exam)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing, including triage, acute stabilization, and high-volume patient flow
• Proficiency with Cerner documentation and GE monitors/Baxter pumps
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills with ability to pass tele exam
• Excellent teamwork, coaching, and communication skills
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment serving 120+ languages
• Knowledge of AIDET and patient experience best practices
• Previous HCA experience preferred
