Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced Level 2 Trauma Center
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage to prioritize care effectively
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver expert trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient information meticulously using Meditech
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current Kansas RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency/trauma nursing experience in a Level 2 trauma center
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications required
• CEN or TCRN certification preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a positive, can-do attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis, and triage
• Proficient in Meditech documentation
• Skilled in patient assessment and critical thinking
• Ability to operate emergency equipment such as Level 1 fluid warmers, GE monitors, LifePak, and Alaris pumps
• Experience with evidence-based practices in emergency nursing
