Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert emergency and trauma nursing care in a Level 2 trauma center
• Triage patients quickly and accurately to ensure the right level of care
• Deliver life-saving interventions for STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and trauma cases
• Collaborate with ED physicians, techs, and unit secretaries for seamless patient care
• Document all care thoroughly in the Meditech EHR
• Use AIDET and whiteboards to keep patients informed and involved in their care

Qualifications

• Current Kansas RN license required
• Active ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and ENPC or PALS certifications
• NIH certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency/trauma nursing experience in a Level 2 trauma center
• CEN or TCRN certification preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage
• Comfort with GE monitors, Alaris pumps, Lifepak, and Level 1 fluid warmers
• Meditech documentation experience
• Patient experience tools like AIDET and whiteboards
• Positive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment
