Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients in an acute care setting
• Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and monitor outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, therapists, and support staff—to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond to changes in patient status promptly and escalate concerns when needed
• Support unit goals for patient satisfaction, throughput, and quality metrics

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred or available
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting workflows
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of acute care protocols, medication administration, and patient safety practices
• Comfortable with patient education and family-centered care
