Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures accurately and compassionately according to department protocols
• Operate imaging equipment and process/transmit images to PACS in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with HFAP, TJC, CMS, state, and federal regulations in all imaging activities
• Participate in performance improvement and quality control (PI/QC) initiatives to enhance patient care
• Serve as a patient-facing professional, answering questions and ensuring a positive imaging experience
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with specialty exams such as fluoroscopy when permitted
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical teams to coordinate imaging services

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT-R (required)
• Current BLS/BCLS (AHA) certification
• Must obtain fluoroscopy permit from CDPH within 6 months of hire
• Must obtain venipuncture certificate within 3 months of hire
• Graduate of a JRCERT- or ABHES-accredited radiography program
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
• Proficient computer skills and comfort with PACS/image processing workflows

Education

• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic Radiography best practices and protocols
• Fluoroscopy procedures and safety (permit required)
• Venipuncture and contrast administration workflows
• PACS operation and image processing
• Regulatory compliance: HFAP, TJC, CMS, state and federal requirements
• Quality improvement and performance improvement (PI/QC) methodologies
• General computer proficiency and electronic documentation
