Roles & Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients to help them restore function and mobility
• Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans of care
• Document services accurately and timely to ensure seamless continuity of care
• Supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs in line with state practice acts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
• Active South Dakota physical therapy license (or ability to obtain before start)
• Excellent communication, documentation, and clinical skills
• Flexibility to adapt to varying facilities, schedules, and patient needs

Education

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT/MSPT/BSPT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in physical therapy patient evaluation and treatment planning
• Confident delivering direct therapeutic interventions
• Strong documentation and compliance practices
• Effective supervision and collaboration within a rehab team
• Excellent communication for interdisciplinary care and family education
