Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient movement, function, and pain to create meaningful goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that restore mobility
• Deliver hands-on care and therapeutic exercise with compassion and skill
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic record
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families so gains stick after discharge
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure safe transitions of care

Qualifications

• Current, active Physical Therapist license (able to practice in Georgia by start date)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent preferred
• Travel therapy experience preferred but enthusiastic new travelers welcome
• Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills
• Up-to-date CPR/BLS certification (facility may require upon hire)

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or equivalent clinical degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise, and manual techniques
• Familiarity with common musculoskeletal and neurological conditions
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records
• Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and maintain productivity expectations
