Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate respiratory care to pediatric patients
• Assess and monitor patient respiratory status and respond to changes
• Administer breathing treatments, medications, and airway clearance therapies
• Assist with ventilator management and emergency airway support
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document care thoroughly and educate patients and families on respiratory health

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Respiratory Therapist licensure (or eligibility)
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred
• Pediatric respiratory care experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including rotating schedules
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and therapeutic modalities
• Understanding of pediatric pulmonary conditions and treatment plans
• Skill in patient and family education
• Comfort working in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
