Paramedic – UHC Staffing

Paramedic

Location: Breckenridge, Minnesota

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 24 hours on, 24 hours on-call with 10-minute response time, followed by 96 hours off; rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver professional and compassionate pre-hospital care to patients of all ages
Perform thorough patient assessments and initiate appropriate interventions
Administer medications safely using the five patient rights
Coordinate seamless patient transfers between facilities and levels of care
Supervise EMTs and ensure safety for staff and bystanders during emergencies
Document all assessments and treatments accurately and in a timely manner
Communicate patient status clearly during care transitions

Qualifications

Active Paramedic License with NREMT-P certification
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
Valid Minnesota license plus either North Dakota license or Compact license with proof of Privilege to Practice
Strong ALS-level experience preferred
Ability to titrate drips including nitroglycerin, heparin, IV fluids, and vasopressors

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced Life Support (ALS) protocols
Patient assessment and individualized care planning
Medication administration and drip titration
CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilator management
Intubation experience preferred
Clear communication during high-stress situations
