Roles & Responsibilities

• Code outpatient encounters accurately using CPC-aligned guidelines, ensuring clinical documentation supports code selection.
• Review charts and clinical notes thoroughly to assign appropriate outpatient codes and modifiers.
• Collaborate professionally with providers and care teams to clarify documentation when needed.
• Maintain high standards for coding quality and consistency across assigned workload.
• Participate in chart reviews and quality initiatives to support ongoing process improvements.
• Manage your remote workload responsibly and communicate proactively about capacity and timelines.

Qualifications

• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or equivalent certification required.
• Outpatient coding experience (Outpatient Coder skills are a strong fit for this role).
• Ability to work part-time mornings during business hours (Monday–Friday) and be available for remote collaboration.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote workspace.
• Strong attention to detail and good written/verbal communication for provider queries and documentation clarification.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in outpatient coding principles and CPC practices.
• Comfortable reviewing clinical documentation for coding accuracy.
• Good communication skills for provider queries and team collaboration.
• Comfortable working in a remote, computer-based workflow and following established processes.
