Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during a variety of procedures, from braces adjustments to retainers and aligner checks.
• Take and prepare dental X-rays, impressions, and digital scans to support treatment planning.
• Sterilize and organize instruments, ensuring a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care instructions to help them achieve a confident smile.
• Accurately document patient care using Denticon software and maintain updated treatment records.
• Make every patient feel at ease with friendly, compassionate chairside support.

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or graduate of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Dental X-ray certification (as required by state)
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience is a plus, but not required
• A warm, professional attitude and a genuine love for helping patients smile

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental and orthodontic instruments and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Denticon experience is a bonus)
• Strong verbal communication and patient interaction skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented clinical setting
