Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during brace placements, adjustments, and Invisalign treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms for each patient
- Take and process dental X-rays and digital scans
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, braces care, and Invisalign usage
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Create a warm, welcoming environment that puts patients at ease
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent
- Previous orthodontic experience with braces and Invisalign strongly preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- State-approved dental X-ray certification
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
- Proficient in taking dental impressions and digital scans
- Familiarity with sterilization and infection control standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative dental team
