Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide gentle, thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis for patients
• Perform comprehensive oral health assessments and document findings
• Take and process dental X-rays as needed
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure patient comfort
• Maintain strict infection control standards and sterilize instruments

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality care
• Experience in a dental office setting is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of dental anatomy and periodontal disease
• Proficient with dental instruments, X-ray equipment, and sterilization protocols
• Skilled in patient education and chairside manner
• Ability to maintain accurate patient records and use dental software
