Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient experience
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, keeping the treatment area immaculate and ready
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-procedure care
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting using dental software like Denticon
• Help with the fabrication and fitting of braces, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) strongly preferred
• Experience in orthodontic assisting is a plus
• Current radiology (x-ray) certification required
• CPR certification required
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
• A positive, empathetic attitude that puts patients at ease

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (Denticon experience a bonus)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Team player with great interpersonal skills
