Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis
• Conduct oral health assessments and document patient histories
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Administer fluoride and other preventive treatments
• Assist the dentist during procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in a dental practice preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Current PA Dental Hygienist license

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instrumentation
• Knowledge of dental software and electronic health records
• Strong interpersonal and patient education skills
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
