Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist our orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient patient flow
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols
• Take and develop dental X-rays for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care, helping them feel comfortable and informed
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans using Denticon software
• Provide exceptional patient care and support to create a positive orthodontic experience

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or registration in Maryland, or eligibility to obtain
• X-ray certification required
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience strongly preferred
• A genuine passion for patient care and teamwork

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Familiarity with dental practice management software, preferably Denticon
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control
