Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients of all ages
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Take and develop dental X-rays with accuracy and care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment
• Document patient care and update dental records in a timely manner
• Screen patients for oral diseases and report findings to the dentist

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in a clinical dental setting (new grads welcome to apply)
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain aseptic technique

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Proficiency in dental software for charting and patient records
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
• Excellent patient education and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity
