Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist in creating beautiful smiles - from initial exams to final adjustments
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure a welcoming, sterile environment for patients
- Take high-quality dental x-rays and impressions to support accurate diagnosis
- Provide patients with clear instructions on braces care and oral hygiene
- Manage patient flow and maintain accurate records to keep the practice running smoothly
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of dental professionals who are passionate about patient care
Qualifications
- A heart for helping others and a smile that shows it
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or the ability to obtain certification
- State radiology certification or willingness to obtain it
- 1-2 years of experience in orthodontics is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication skills to connect with patients of all ages
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (like Denticon) is a bonus
- Infection control and sterilization best practices
- Excellent organizational and patient management skills
- A proactive, positive attitude that puts patients at ease
