Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures to ensure a seamless patient experience
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control standards
• Take digital X-rays and impressions with accuracy and care
• Document patient information and treatment plans using Denticon software
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Manage inventory and keep the clinic organized and welcoming

Qualifications

• Active Orthodontic Certification (required)
• Experience with Denticon software (preferred)
• Maryland dental assistant certification or licensure as applicable
• Compassionate and clear communication with patients of all ages
• Ability to stand for long periods and assist chairside
• Team player with a positive can-do attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, brackets, bands, and wires
• Proficiency in taking impressions, pours, and digital scans
• Familiarity with Denticon or similar practice management software
• Understanding of OSHA and infection control procedures
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
