Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control standards
- Take digital X-rays and impressions with accuracy and care
- Document patient information and treatment plans using Denticon software
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
- Manage inventory and keep the clinic organized and welcoming
Qualifications
- Active Orthodontic Certification (required)
- Experience with Denticon software (preferred)
- Maryland dental assistant certification or licensure as applicable
- Compassionate and clear communication with patients of all ages
- Ability to stand for long periods and assist chairside
- Team player with a positive can-do attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, brackets, bands, and wires
- Proficiency in taking impressions, pours, and digital scans
- Familiarity with Denticon or similar practice management software
- Understanding of OSHA and infection control procedures
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
