Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during braces fittings, adjustments, and removal procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe, hygienic environment
• Take and process dental X-rays, impressions, and digital scans for treatment planning
• Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene and braces care
• Maintain accurate patient charts and update treatment records in dental practice software
• Stock and organize supplies to keep the office running smoothly

Qualifications

• Certified or registered Dental Assistant (RDA/CDA) in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• X-ray/radiology certification as required by state
• Prior experience in an orthodontic or dental office setting
• Passion for providing exceptional patient care with a warm, friendly attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental and orthodontic terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental software and digital charting systems
• Strong infection control and sterilization standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain an organized workspace
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient comfort
