Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during procedures and treatments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and ensure a clean clinical environment
• Take and mount dental x-rays, as well as impressions and models
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling follow-ups
• Manage orthodontic supplies and inventory to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent preferred
• Maryland dental radiography certification or eligibility
• Prior experience in orthodontic or dental assisting is a plus
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficiency with dental software and patient records
• Strong sterilization and infection control practices
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• A friendly, compassionate approach to patient interactions
