Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient examinations and orthodontic procedures
• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for appointments
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions accurately
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment following infection control standards
• Document patient treatment plans and progress in electronic health records

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or willingness to obtain certification
• Current CPR certification
• X-ray certification for dental imaging
• Experience in an orthodontic practice preferred
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic terminology and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software and patient records
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
