Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist with patient examinations and orthodontic procedures
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms for appointments
- Take and process dental X-rays and impressions accurately
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment following infection control standards
- Document patient treatment plans and progress in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or willingness to obtain certification
- Current CPR certification
- X-ray certification for dental imaging
- Experience in an orthodontic practice preferred
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with dental software and patient records
- Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
