Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with chairside procedures, including placing braces and aligners
• Prepare patients for treatment by taking X-rays and impressions
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments to maintain a safe and efficient workspace
• Provide friendly, compassionate care and educate patients on oral hygiene with braces
• Maintain accurate patient records and support smooth daily clinic operations
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure every visit is comfortable and stress-free

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or willingness to become certified
• Current X-ray certification and experience taking dental radiographs
• Prior experience in orthodontics or a strong desire to specialize in this rewarding field
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-first attitude
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced dental environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Familiarity with sterilization techniques and infection control standards
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to build rapport with patients of all ages
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
