Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings and oral health assessments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques to promote long-term dental health
• Take and process dental radiographs with precision and care
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a comfortable and positive patient experience
• Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records
• Apply preventive treatments like fluoride and sealants to protect smiles

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact eligibility)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in dental hygiene, preferably in a clinical setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education

• Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Proficient in taking and interpreting dental x-rays
• Excellent patient education and communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong documentation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
