Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with procedures such as braces adjustments, retainers, and aligner fittings
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatories to maintain a safe environment
• Take and process dental X-rays for patient diagnosis
• Provide compassionate patient care and education on oral hygiene and orthodontic treatment
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is updated
• Support the dental team in delivering high-quality orthodontic care

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• X-ray certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Prior experience as an orthodontic assistant is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental and orthodontic instruments and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency with dental software and patient management systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced patient care environment
• Great team player with a positive attitude
