Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling to maintain optimal oral health
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assess patient oral health and report findings to the dentist
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Sanitize and prepare dental instruments and treatment rooms to ensure safety

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and detail-oriented approach to patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene techniques and procedures
• Skill in using dental x-ray equipment and technology
• Understanding of infection control protocols
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records
