Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventative care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and take dental radiographs as needed
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain accurate records
• Ensure a safe, comfortable environment for every patient

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license (or compact eligibility)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Experience in a dental office preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene best practices and infection control
• Familiarity with dental software and digital radiography
• Skill in building rapport with patients of all ages
• Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team
