Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient exams and orthodontic procedures, ensuring an efficient and comfortable experience
• Take and prepare dental X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate treatment planning
• Prepare patients for treatment by reviewing their dental history and explaining procedures with a friendly, reassuring approach
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care to support successful outcomes
• Manage patient records and update treatment plans using dental software like Denticon

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or willingness to obtain certification (as required by state)
• X-ray certification strongly preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
• Prior experience in orthodontics is a plus, but we welcome passionate candidates ready to learn
• Excellent people skills and a positive, patient-first attitude
• Reliability and flexibility to work per diem shifts as needed
• CPR certification (BLS) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (Denticon experience a bonus)
• Strong organization and multitasking skills to keep the office running smoothly
• Compassionate patient care and strong communication abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
