Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for each patient
• Take and develop dental X-rays and impressions as needed
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
• Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming treatment environment
• Document patient treatment and update medical records accurately

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification in Maryland (required)
• Radiation safety certificate (RHS) or equivalent (required)
• CPR/BLS certification (required)
• Experience in orthodontics is a big plus
• Positive attitude and a team-player mindset
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Sterilization and infection control procedures
• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and materials
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
