Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality mental health counseling to patients in a correctional or psychiatric setting
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to patient needs
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Complete timely documentation and maintain accurate patient records
• Participate in treatment team meetings and case conferences
• Support patients in developing coping strategies and achieving their therapeutic goals

Qualifications

• Valid LMFT license in the state of California (or ability to obtain before start)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist
• Experience in mental health or correctional settings is a plus
• BLS certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills

Education

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert knowledge of therapeutic modalities and interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Culturally competent and empathetic approach to patient care
