Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure and pulse oximetry) before, during, and after oral surgery procedures
- Assist the oral surgeon with nitrous oxide and IV sedation, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Take panoramic X-rays to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Support wisdom tooth surgeries with expert chair-side assistance
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and operatory rooms, maintaining a clean and organized environment
- Provide patients with clear post-operative instructions and reassurance
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent experience preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with vital signs monitoring, nitrous oxide, IV sedation, and panoramic X-rays
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced oral surgery environment
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in vital signs monitoring (BP/PulseOx)
- Comfortable with nitrous oxide administration and IV sedation
- Skilled in taking panoramic X-rays
- Knowledgeable in wisdom tooth surgery procedures
- Excellent sterile technique and infection control practices
