Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage perioperative care as the OR circulator, ensuring a safe, efficient surgical environment
• Prepare the operating room and supplies, perform instrument and equipment checks, and maintain sterile technique
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs during procedures and facilitate timely instrument and supply delivery
• Serve as patient advocate in the OR — assist with positioning, safety checks, and handoffs
• Document perioperative care accurately and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Assist with turnover and room setup to support smooth workflow and on-time starts

Qualifications

• Peri-Op 101 Certification (required)
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications (required)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Proven ability to work independently in Urology, Vascular, Orthopedics, Pain management, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Plastics service lines
• Comfort working in a fast-paced OR environment and collaborating with surgical teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative nursing knowledge and sterile technique
• Familiarity with instrumentation and workflow for Urology, Vascular, Orthopedics, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Plastics
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in the surgical setting
• Ability to prioritize, anticipate needs, and adapt to variable case schedules
• Accurate perioperative documentation and attention to patient safety protocols
