Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and referrals
• Deliver skilled occupational therapy to help patients improve independence in daily living skills
• Update and adjust treatment and discharge plans as patients progress
• Document all services accurately and in a timely manner
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in line with state practice acts and facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families to ensure holistic patient-centered care
• Maintain compliance with all safety, regulatory, and facility standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD)
• Active state Occupational Therapy license (or ability to obtain)
• Prior experience in rehab or skilled nursing settings is a plus
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD)

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
• Patient evaluation and treatment planning expertise
• Experience with discharge planning and documentation
• Supervision and collaboration skills for working with COTAs and care teams
• Excellent compliance, communication, and clinical skills
