Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve daily living and work skills
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs and physicians to coordinate holistic care
• Document patient progress clearly and adjust plans to meet rehabilitation goals
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and home strategies
• Contribute to team meetings and discharge planning to ensure safe transitions

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice or ability to obtain one quickly
• NBCOT certification preferred or current registration where applicable
• Active BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to assignment
• Experience working in inpatient rehab, long-term care, or similar settings preferred
• Clean background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

Education

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL evaluation and therapeutic activity planning
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, orthotics/slings, and assistive technologies
• Proficient with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
