Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently
• Process and handle patient specimens with careful attention to labeling and chain of custody
• Follow quality control procedures and document results in compliance with facility standards
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure reliable operation
• Collaborate with clinical staff and provide timely, clear laboratory information to support patient care
• Participate in orientation and training activities to maintain competency and support new team members

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent certification preferred
• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
• Prior clinical laboratory experience is preferred but new graduates with strong training are welcome
• Current state licensure if required by Missouri regulations
• Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Education

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and specimen handling best practices
• Familiarity with quality control and regulatory compliance in a lab setting
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation and basic troubleshooting
• Comfort using laboratory information systems and electronic documentation
• Good time management and ability to prioritize workload in a busy clinical environment
