Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, professional nursing care to patients with a wide range of acuities across the lifespan
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing process, documenting findings accurately in the EMR
• Direct patient care activities and collaborate closely with ancillary staff to ensure seamless care delivery
• Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and families about patient conditions and care plans
• Be a key member of the Med/Surg team in a critical access hospital setting, making a real impact in a rural community
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while maintaining a calm, patient-centered approach

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Montana, or a compact state license that is currently active
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Experience in a critical access hospital is a plus
• Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Strong clinical judgment and a passion for rural healthcare

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay composed under pressure
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
