Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and prepare them for examinations and procedures
• Take vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient charts
• Assist providers with exams, treatments, and minor procedures
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed
• Perform basic lab tests, EKGs, and point-of-care screenings
• Coordinate patient flow and ensure exam rooms are stocked and ready

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification or diploma from an accredited program
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Compassionate communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Ability to work per diem/flexible schedule with short notice
• Previous experience in an ambulatory or outpatient clinic is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling systems
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced clinic
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and families
• Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety and quality care
