Roles & Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to residents to promote comfort and quality of life
Lead and oversee subordinate nursing staff
Coach and train staff on proper nursing techniques
Administer medications and perform duties according to resident plans of care
Practice Heritage Place's 'Choices Philosophy of Care'
Maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nursing
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in Alaska
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
1 year of experience in long-term care, preferred

Education

Associate's degree in Nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Nursing skills, particularly in long-term care
Leadership and team management
Communication and interpersonal skills
Time management and organization
