Location: Mount Olive, NC

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Day

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients within scope of practice
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
Maintain clear, timely patient records and handoffs during shift changes
Support patient and family education with patience and clarity
Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and modeling best practices

Qualifications

Current state LPN license in good standing (LPN) — RN license accepted if applying as RN
CPR/BLS certification required
Recent clinical experience preferred; per diem or acute care experience a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a busy unit
Ability to follow facility policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards

Education

Completion of an accredited LPN program (or accredited RN program if applying as RN)
High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and wound care
Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
Good assessment skills and clinical judgment for timely escalation
