Leave of Absence and Benefits Coordinator

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, track, and distribute statistical reports on leave of absence data to internal stakeholders
- Communicate with HR, Occupational Health, managers, and leadership to coordinate employee LOA status while maintaining confidentiality
- Identify employees transitioning to COBRA, send communications, and manage state information requests for TDI/TCI claims
- Administer benefits communications and payment schedules for employees on unpaid leave, processing incoming payments with cross-departmental collaboration
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding eligibility, coverage, and other benefit matters with exceptional customer service
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the leave and benefits teams
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum 3 years)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including standard formulas and pivot tables
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to handle confidential information with care
- Comfortable with basic math and calculations to balance spreadsheets
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; experience in leave of absence management or benefits administration; familiarity with HRIS, leave management, or benefits platforms
Education
- Associate's degree, or minimum 3 years equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
