Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead infection prevention efforts by developing, implementing, and monitoring evidence-based policies
• Educate clinical staff and leadership on infection control best practices and compliance
• Perform surveillance for healthcare-associated infections and report trends to stakeholders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to reduce infection risk and improve patient outcomes
• Provide mentorship and training as a nurse educator to elevate unit-wide practice
• Participate in root cause analyses and quality improvement initiatives focused on infection prevention

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of New Hampshire (or compact RN eligible)
• Experience in infection prevention, nursing education, or clinical nursing practice
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication and teaching skills to engage staff at all levels
• Ability to perform surveillance, data analysis, and present findings to clinical teams

Education

• BSN preferred; ADN with significant related experience will be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of infection prevention principles and healthcare-associated infection surveillance
• Ability to design and deliver effective clinical education and in-service training
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best-practice infection control guidelines
• Skill in multidisciplinary collaboration and quality improvement methodology
• Comfort interpreting data and translating it into actionable practice changes
