Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Support safe transfers and mobility while using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Measure and document vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents and their families
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and communicate effectively with teammates
• Follow infection control practices and safety protocols to promote a healthy environment

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
• Comfortable working with older adults and supporting their daily needs
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Per diem availability and flexibility for shift coverage

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Geriatric Nursing Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with geriatric care needs and resident-focused care
• Ability to assist with ADLs and safe patient handling
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
• Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
